Title. “The Devil. The Demon Cat” by Lady Wilde. Level descriptor. The following play outline is intended to be worked with students at Level 3, more specifically with a group of five students at 1st Secondary Education (Sección). Synopsis. It´s the story of a couple who earns their living with fish. Every day, the fisherman gets home with loads of fish. However, they have troubles with an evil cat which devours all their fish. Although the owner of the house and some friends try to punish severely the malevolent animal, they find it impossible to defeat it. Eventually, there is a young girl who suspects that animal is not from this world and that there is something from the devil in it. So, taking some holy water, she finally succeeds in defeating the demon cat. Character descriptions and objectives. 1. Fisherman: he fishes and brings fish home every day. 2. Fisherman´s wife: housewife, in charge of sorting fish to sell at market. She will try to solve out a trouble she has with a cat which eats up all their fish. 3. A young girl: works at market sorting fish. She´ll find out that the cat belongs to hell and with the help of holy water, will eventually defeat the evil animal. 4. A man: he just passes by and tries to help women to defeat the animal but unluckily gets badly hurt by the cat. 5. The cat: an evil animal, coming from hell, which devours fisherman´s fish. It growls, attacks, beats everyone who gets near him. It will be finally beaten with holy water. Scenes. Scene 1: fisherman´s couple with loads of fish. At night, fish disappear eaten by a cat. Scene 2: fisherman´s wife and another woman wait for the cat to punish it. The cat, savagely attacks them. Hearing the two women cry, a passerby tries unsuccessfully to help them. Scene 3: the cat enjoys eating out all the fish. The two women gave the cat several blows using tongs and sticks but it´s useless. Scene 4: convinced that this animal is not an ordinary one, a young woman decides to use holy water to kill it. When she pours it into him, the cat starts burning and disappears for ever. Viaje a Irlanda.

Hola familias. Bueno pues el viaje esta llegando al final. Ayer los chic@s estuvieron haciendo el típico Irish dance. De nuevo acabaron agotados pero disfrutaron mucho. Queríamos recordaros como haremos mañana a la hora de que recojáis a vuestros hij@s. El vuelo Dublín - Madrid es FR7156 con salida a las 16.10 (hora local) y llegada a Barsjas a las 19.50 (hora local). Os recomendamos que estéis en llegadas de la terminal 1 en torno a las 19.15 o 19.30 mas o menos. Cuando salgamos, os pedimos por favor que tengáis un poquito de paciencia. Pasaremos lista, entregaremos los pasaportes y la familia de cada alumno nombrado lo recogerá. Gracias a todos por la confianza depositada en nosotras. Ha sido una experiencia fabulosa. Las profes.

Viaje a Irlanda

Hola familias. Hemos pasado un fin de semana estupendo. Ha hecho un sol formidable tanto el sábado como el domingo. El sábado estuvimos en Howth y vuestros hij@s probaron "fish & chips", vimos alguna foca también. Ayer domingo estuvimos en Glendalough, y estuvimos andando unos 2 kms cuesta arriba. (Llegaran agotados). Están comiendo bien, están a gusto en las casas, baños y aseos fenomenal. Ahora están de nuevo en sus clases y esta tarde de visita a Dublinia. A la hora de la vuelta a las casas, la mayoría están volviéndo en grupitos pero nosotras les estamos llamando a sus móviles para comprobar que han llegado bien a las casas. Os lo comentamos porque aunque están siendo llamadas muy muy breves, es por si lo veis luego reflejado en las facturas. Sentimos que sea así pero nos quedamos mas tranquilas comprobando que han llegado bien a las casas. Un saludo muy cordial Teachers

VIAJE A IRLANDA

Queridas familias, Todos vuestros chic@s estan fenomenal. Han dormido bien, estan comiendo bien, estan disfrutando de sus clases y lo estan pasando realmente bien. Esta tarde nos vamos de visita por Dublin y si el tiempo nos lo sigue permitiendo (porque hace bueno) pasaremos una tarde estupenda todos juntos. Manana sabado y el domingo no podremos escribir en este blog puesto que tenemos excursiones desde por la manana, pero tranquilos, porque estaremos todo el dia juntos. Os volveremos a escribir el lunes desde la escuela ATC. Un saludo cordial a todos. Teachers.
